How to connect Magento

Connecting Magento to Hookfire

Step 1: Create an Integration

  1. Go to your organization’s Integrations page.
  2. Click Add Integration and select Magento.
  3. You’ll receive a unique Webhook URL β€” copy it.

Step 2: Add the Webhook in Magento

  1. In your Magento Admin Panel, go to System β†’ Integrations.
  2. Click Add New Integration.
  3. Under the Integration Info tab, give it a name (e.g. β€œHookfire”).
  4. Under the API tab, select the resources you want to expose.
  5. Save and activate the integration.
  6. Configure webhook endpoints via Stores β†’ Configuration β†’ Services β†’ Webhooks (or use a webhook extension if on Magento 2 Open Source).
  7. Paste your Hookfire webhook URL as the endpoint.

Step 3: Copy the Signing Secret

  1. After creating the integration, Magento will display a Consumer Secret and Access Token Secret.
  2. Copy the signing secret used for webhook verification.
  3. Go back to your Hookfire integration page and paste it into the Signing Secret field.

Step 4: Subscribe to Events

On your Hookfire integration page, toggle on the events you want to receive push notifications for.

Step 5: Test

Place a test order in your Magento store to verify the integration is working.
