How to connect Polar

Step 1: Create an Integration

Go to your organization’s Integrations page.
Click Add Integration and select Polar.
You’ll receive a unique Webhook URL. Copy it.

Step 2: Add the Webhook in Polar

In Polar, open your organization’s Settings → Webhooks and click Add Endpoint.
Paste your Hookfire webhook URL.
Choose the Raw format. The Discord and Slack formats reshape the payload and Hookfire cannot read them.
Generate a secret (or type your own) and copy it.
Select the events you want, for example order.paid, subscription.created, subscription.canceled and subscription.past_due.
Save the endpoint.

Step 3: Signing Secret

Paste the secret from Step 2 (it starts with whsec_) into the Signing Secret field on your Hookfire integration page. Polar signs each delivery with the Standard Webhooks headers (webhook-id, webhook-timestamp, webhook-signature), and Hookfire refuses anything that does not match or is more than five minutes old.

Step 4: Subscribe to Events

On your Hookfire integration page, toggle on the events you want to receive push notifications for.

A cancellation at the end of the billing period sends subscription.canceled straight away, and subscription.revoked when access actually ends.

Step 5: Test

Use Redeliver on a past event in Polar, or click Test next to an event on your Hookfire integration page.
