How to connect Render

Render webhooks need a Pro workspace plan or higher.

Step 1: Create an Integration

  1. Go to your organization’s Integrations page.
  2. Click Add Integration and select Render.
  3. You’ll receive a unique Webhook URL. Copy it.

Step 2: Add the Webhook in Render

You need to be a workspace admin.

  1. In the Render Dashboard, open your workspace home.
  2. Click Integrations → Webhooks in the left sidebar, then + Create Webhook.
  3. Give it a name (e.g., “Hookfire”) and paste your Hookfire webhook URL.
  4. Pick the events you want, for example Deploy Ended, Server Failed and Cron Job Run Ended.
  5. Save the webhook.

Step 3: Copy the Signing Secret

  1. Open the webhook’s Settings page in Render and copy its signing secret.
  2. Paste it into the Signing Secret field on your Hookfire integration page.
  3. Render signs every delivery following the Standard Webhooks specification (webhook-id, webhook-timestamp and webhook-signature headers), and Hookfire verifies it automatically, refusing deliveries older than five minutes.

Step 4: Subscribe to Events

On your Hookfire integration page, toggle on the events you want to receive push notifications for.

Deploy finished, Build finished and the job events cover success and failure alike, with the outcome in the notification. On Max you can add a payload rule data.status is failed to hear only about failures.

Render keeps its webhooks short: the service name, the event and the outcome. Commit details, error text and a dashboard link are not in the delivery, so these notifications do not open a page when tapped.

Step 5: Test

Click the Test button next to an event on your integration page, or trigger a deploy of one of your services.

Supported Events

deploy_ended A deploy finished (succeeded, failed or canceled)
build_ended A build finished (succeeded, failed or canceled)

server_available A service is available again
image_pull_failed Render could not pull a service’s Docker image
cron_job_run_ended A cron job run finished
job_run_ended A one-off job finished
service_suspended A service was suspended
