How to connect Cal.com

Step 1: Create an Integration

  1. Go to your organizationโ€™s Integrations page.
  2. Click Add Integration and select Cal.com.
  3. Youโ€™ll receive a unique Webhook URL. Copy it.

Step 2: Add the Webhook in Cal.com

  1. In Cal.com, open Settings โ†’ Developer โ†’ Webhooks and add a new webhook.
  2. Paste your Hookfire webhook URL as the Subscriber URL.
  3. Under Event triggers, pick the events you want (for example Booking Created, Booking Cancelled and Booking Rescheduled).
  4. Enter a long random string as the Secret, for example one made with openssl rand -hex 32, and keep a copy.
  5. Leave Custom Payload empty. A custom template replaces the body Hookfire reads.
  6. Save the webhook.

You can also add a webhook to a single event type from that event typeโ€™s Webhooks tab.

Step 3: Signing Secret

Paste the secret from Step 2 into the Signing Secret field on your Hookfire integration page. Cal.com signs each delivery with the X-Cal-Signature-256 header, and Hookfire refuses anything that does not match.

Step 4: Subscribe to Events

On your Hookfire integration page, toggle on the events you want to receive push notifications for. Tapping a booking notification opens the booking page on Cal.com.

Step 5: Test

Use Cal.comโ€™s Ping test button on the webhook, which sends a PING event, or click Test next to an event on your Hookfire integration page.
