  3. You’ll receive a unique Webhook URL. Copy it.

Step 2: Add the Webhook in Indie Polls

  1. Log in to your Indie Polls dashboard.
  2. Open the poll or survey you want to monitor.
  3. Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Custom Webhooks.
  4. Click Add webhook.
  5. Paste your Hookfire webhook URL into the Endpoint URL field.
  6. The poll.submitted event is delivered by default for every contributor submission.

Step 3: Copy the Signing Secret

  2. Reveal it and copy the value.
  3. Go back to your Hookfire integration page and paste it into the Signing Secret field.
  4. Indie Polls signs every payload with HMAC-SHA256. Hookfire verifies each delivery automatically using the X-IndiePolls-Signature header.

Step 4: Subscribe to Events

On your Hookfire integration page, toggle on the poll.submitted event. You can choose between:

  • Push + Record: sends a push notification and stores the event.
  • Record only: stores the event without sending a push.

Step 5: Test

Click the Test button on your integration page to send a simulated poll submission through the pipeline. You can also generate a real event by submitting a response to any poll with the webhook enabled.
