How to connect Typeform

Step 1: Create an Integration

  1. Go to your organization’s Integrations page.
  2. Click Add Integration and select Typeform.
  3. You’ll receive a unique Webhook URL. Copy it.

Step 2: Add the Webhook in Typeform

  1. Open your form in Typeform and go to Connect → Webhooks.
  2. Click Add a webhook and paste your Hookfire webhook URL.
  3. Click Edit on the new webhook and enter a long random string as the Secret, for example one made with openssl rand -hex 32. Keep a copy.
  4. Turn the webhook on.

Each form has its own webhooks, so repeat this for every form you want to hear about. All of them can point at the same Hookfire URL. See Typeform’s webhook docs.

Step 3: Signing Secret

Paste the secret from Step 2 into the Signing Secret field on your Hookfire integration page. Typeform signs each delivery with the Typeform-Signature header, and Hookfire refuses anything that does not match.

Step 4: Subscribe to Events

On your Hookfire integration page, toggle on Form submitted. The notification names the form, and tapping it opens the response in Typeform.

On the Max plan you can rewrite the wording to show a particular answer. Answers come in the order they were given and skipped questions are left out, so pick one from a required question near the start of the form, for example {{form_response.answers.0.text}} for a first question that asks for a name.

Step 5: Test

Submit your own form once, or click Test next to the event on your Hookfire integration page.
